Social Media Tips – Be you and be true

What is really important to your audience is to know, like and trust you, so they can make their own educated decision on whether you are a fit for them or not.

The very simple way to do so is by being as transparent as possible, and sharing what your life looks like. However you want to make sure that your viewers are wanting to stick around you on social media, and of course come back over and over again.

A great way to do that is by sharing bits and glimpses of your life on your Story lines (ie: Facebook, IG, TikTok…), with some variety in order to keep the viewers’s interest hot. To make it easier on you, I am sharing the best 5 story lines below.

Social Media Tips – Story line #1 Behind the scenes

Remember when people were flashing their profile with pictures of them being next to expensive cars, a massive luxurious desk which actually is a hotel lobby desk, holiday photos saying it is their lifestyle whereas they spent all their savings in that one trip… etc???

Long gone the time where we believed in those things. And this is a great news my friend, because you can be, and should be, fully yourself!

People, love/want to know the truth, good, bad, and realness of what it really takes to build a business, and who you really are behind the scene.

So you can share images of you working on yourself, whether being physical or mentally, be confident in showing your imperfections and that if you can do what you do so can your audience. That will make them relate, and be attracted to you.

Social Media Tips – Story line #2 – Recommendation

This is so easy since we recommend things and experiences everyday, in some way shape or form.

What is good about this story line is that, you are showing yourself as someone who genuinely wants to share, rather than just sell sell sell all the time to everybody!

You can recommend any, and everything. From your favourite mug, favourite breakfast, your toothpaste… All the things that you might take from granted which could help someone else without you necessarily benefiting from it.

As an example, I someday shared the new Ikea that was just built nearby my house, and someone messaged me thanking me for doing so because one of their friend’s needed some furniture but didn’t know of this new Ikea which is very close to town. Sounds simple but it helped someone I don’t even know, and without benefiting anything from it. Feels so good to help unconditionally.

Social Media Tips – Story line #3 – Value

Now… Your audience is obviously coming to check your content because of a specialty you are helping them with. If not then it is very important to figure out your audience type, and what you want to be known for.

Let’s say that you already figured all this out, then it is your duty to provide valuable content which your people are dying to receive from you. So, one story line of your’s should be about tips, how-to, strategies… that you can provide your viewers with.

Social Media Tips – Story line #4 – Direct to camera

Again, people want to see you, even when you are not in you perfect environment or physical appearance.

At least once a day, show yourself facing the camera and have an engaging conversation that can make people interact back with you. Additionally, you can use polls, question box and all sort of features inside your story, that will create even more interest.

Social Media Tips – Story line #5 – Build your list

Finally, but far from being the least important… In fact, this is the one thing most Network Marketers forget to share on their story line.

Surely you heard before that you have to build your list. Your list is the most important asset you have to look after.

The way you can do so through your Story line is by:

  • Sharing a cheatsheet
  • Giving them a guide
  • Invite them to your Facebook group/community
  • Offer a coaching session

The above are just examples, but essentially you want to make sure they provide you with their details (Name, Email, Phone # (optional)) so you can add them to your list.

Social Media Tips – Conclusion

All avenues are great to use in order to reach out to your audience, but right now the Story feature on FB and IG is a hot tool, so take advantage of it while it is still time.

As we’ve seen in this episode, just make sure to have a variety of Story Lines to share, that way your audience will get to Know, Like and Trust you, then want to buy from you or join you.
