So many people out there do what they do because they have to (pay their bills, eat food…) rather than because they want/love to. I was there once, so I can totally relate of the reasons why we think it is not possible to do what we truly love and get paid for it.

In this Episode 121, I’m going to share with you 3 questions I ask myself regularly to keep on moving the needle further and further in my business, so that you can do too.

A lot of people think they struggle in their business because of the amount of time they spend with their clients, or how their clients purchase products or services from them not often enough.

I would often hear things like:

  • Bridal-to-be only get my wedding makeup and go, then I must start the process of finding a new client (That used to be me too, when I was an active Makeup Artist)
  • People buy my art and go
  • I can only provide acupuncture treatment if I’m physically adapt and able (practitioner who has an injury for example)
  • My clients only purchase their skincare every 3 months as it is very concentrated and long-lasting

On the other side, they are people who aspire to be their own boss, yet they would keep being employees because they are afraid to “loose their security”.

Well, having been in all those cases myself, I can tell you that it is all in the mind, and a matter of making a decision. Let’s dive into it together.

Business Tips – Exploring the possibilities

It might sound so simple, yet asking explorative questions to thyself is a way of making the brain look for solutions.

One question that can be used is as simple as:

HOW CAN I…?

The answer might not come to you immediately, it is however a great starting point to start moving into a more promising direction.

Remaining in the simplicity, yet effectiveness, here is another question which is on the same sort of line, and will make your mind think further.

This questions is the following:

WHAT ELSE CAN I… (Do; Create; Provide…)?

Once again, you can notice the very basic question that this is. It is a question I use in my coaching system within the Discovery phase. This question allows you, and your mind, to dig deeper into the possibilities that can be offered to you.

Business Tips – Choosing is power

Now, what I often see is that most people do not know who they are serving as an audience.
This is crucial to know since you will be crafting your message accordingly and get much better results.

So, the question I would recommend to ask yourself at this point is:

WHO IS THE AUDIENCE I WANT TO SERVE?

Again, once you have clarified this aspect, you will have a much better time running your business and never run out of clients ever.
