Retention Strategy – Retention vs Acquisition

Something very interesting, that I also was doing before, is that people tend to always wonder where is their next customer going to come from, when actually they are better nurturing their existing ones first.

When I switched my focus and made sure that I keep on nurturing my active clients, then they became more and more loyal to my business.

It will always be easier to make someone, who bought from you before, buy from you again than having to start from scratch with a new client every time.

Retention Strategy – Follow up

You most likely heard it times and again but, truly, the fortune is in the follow-up.

People tend to say “yes” after about 8-12 exposures. People will even thank you for keeping on going.
One of my clients told me, after 6 months follow-up, “Great all ordered= thanks for bearing with me!! Great perseverance ? “

Also, following up is not only about asking for the sale each and every time. Following up can simply be an interaction on their posts, wishing them happy birthday…

Retention Strategy – Challenges

A very great way and hot strategy to use in order to keep your leads and customers interested is to do challenges.

Any type of challenges that would relate to your audience and help them resolve something with success in a short time frame.

This will make your audience feel appreciated and acknowledged, plus they are most likely going to recommend your challenge to their friends and family, thus expanding your reach.

Retention Strategy – Complementary service

Alright! This is huge. At least for me…

This will obviously mostly be for your existing clients already.
What you can do is to offer further value as complementary or bonus to your current buyers.

For example, all my clients who are buying nutrition for weight-loss from me, I offer a complementary 3 months weigh-loss 1.1 program. I literally put together a program that makes me able to serve them further as long as they are on Smartship during that period.

This means that for 3 months I am guaranteed to have revenue coming from these clients while providing them with extra value and support.
It has been a real success for me to use this strategy, and people truly appreciated it as most of them have signed up for more than one program.

Retention Strategy – Conclusion

Think long term rather than just the one-off sale. When you are genuinely of service to others you will see the difference in the results you create in your business.
