Social Media Management – Have A RoadMap

When I started using a template, roadmap, or whatever else you want to call it, I really felt the difference in how much pressure it removed from my shoulder and processes.

Truly, when you have a system that puts you back on track when your mind goes fuzzy, means that you never have to worry about what you are going to do next.

Same goes for your post creation. You will have a much better time having some topics categories you want to talk about in place, so you never will feel lost of inspiration ever again.

Social Media Management – Choose a format

Whether you want to go digital or in the traditional route, I definitely would recommend creating a board of some sort where you can have a reminder of the type of posts you want to share.

I personally use Trello as it also is a way for me to write all my posts for the week that are going to be published on my personal Facebook profile. Because, as you may know, Facebook does not allow any automation on the personal profile as it is not meant to be used for business.

Social Media Management – Create your board

Now, you might be wondering what to do next… and you’re right asking that question! 🙂

Once you have decided where to create your board we are going to make it come to life. Create 7 columns that are going to represent the day of the week from Monday through Sunday.

This is going to allow you to create your posts for each day of the week. You can create as many post as you wish in each day, and can even date them which means that you can create content for as many weeks ahead as you want.

Social Media Management – Pick your five pillars

This is where your mind is going to feel the relief of not needing to wondering what to post about. You waited for it, and now your patience is about to be rewarded.

By 5 pillars, I mean to decide on 5 specific categories you want and can talk all the time, and which is also relatable to the audience you want to serve.

Mine are the following:

After you’ve chosen your 5 specific pillars, write them respectively in the column day within your Board that you want to share this post topic on.
ie. Social Media Marketing in the Monday Column, Mindset in the Tuesday column, and so on.

Obviously, 5 pillars is then equal 5 days, therefore you can either pick a couple that you want to talk twice about in the week, and put them over the weekend too, you could rotate, or take the weekend off too.
