In this Episode 51 I am sharing with you the 3 reasons why it is very beneficial for your business to be visible online.

Online Marketing – Why go digital?
It is obvious that internet is in most people life nowadays, which means that they are also prone to come across more competition of your’s than if they weren’t online.
Also, the reason for most business to be doing their marketing online is because, it is much more cost effective than traditional marketing.
However, I tend to think that they are very much complementary if done well, so do not think that you must only do one type of marketing if you like both.
Online Marketing – Communication
Whether you are Online or Offline, communication with your customers, and potential customers, is a primary element that must be kept as an ongoing, and non negotiable process, to nurture and grow the relationship further.
When you have a service based business, like makeup for example, your are usually only interacting with your customers when they book you and during the treatment.
And yes, you can contact them on a regular basis to connect, but you also don’t want to be in their face (personally) all the time. So being online, creating value content, and sending broadcast emails to all your customers, makes them understand that it is to serve them, and not targeted to them specifically.
Here are some examples on how, and what to communicate with your audience:
- Providing value that can serve them without buying, which builds further trust
- By sending offers to potential customers through emails
- Engaging in customer interaction to discuss new products
- Going Live on social media to share value, and engage with your audience
All the above will improve your brand exposure, even if your the service of your business is only consumable offline.
Online Marketing – Leverage
This is a wonderful, and one of my favourite aspects including the last point we’ll shortly cover.
I remember a time when leads were asking me the same questions over and over again, to the point where I felt completely scripted and like a robot.
It was, at some point, just not feeling natural to repeat the same thing over and over and over again.
Then I have learnt to use the tools rather than being the tool. What I mean by this is, to build true, genuine conversations and relationships with people, and not having to pitch them.
The way to do that was by leveraging the magic of video, and recordings that I could plug people in for them to check out in their own time, then we schedule a day and time on when to follow up to discuss what they liked best from the content.
See, this way you can go straight to the point, rather than getting into the convincing game and make your lead, as well as yourself feel unconformable and under pressure.
Online Marketing – Automation
Alright, this is my other favourite and you might fall in love with this too.
If you want to save some time, gain time back in your life, or be even more productive, this is for you big time.
Imagine you condition your clients to book your service online, the platform lets you know, adds it to your online diary, and both you and your client get a reminder the day before the appointment.
Another example would be that, you pre-schedule all broadcast emails, and your social media posts to go out at specific times, when, then, you are doing something completely different.
This is what automation is about and, believe me, it is amazing to feel that you have things working for you when you are busy doing something else.
