There are 1000’s of Network Marketing companies in the world and of course everyone will tell you that there are the best. Or at least they should if they believe in what they have to offer.
But the real question is, how to know what company to choose for your own interest, if you are looking to build a business with this type of model?

As you know, with every Episode I like to EMPOWER you with a useful resource, that you can use to have more success and essentially create more of what you love with less stress.
This week, since we’re talking about finding the right Network Marketing company, I’ve put together a guide called The 3 Steps To Business Launch. Or Relaunch in fact!
This will help you reach and attract more people that you could ever imagine.
When using this step you will find it much easier to make people come to you!!!
Network Marketing – #1 Choose a product/service you like and enjoy
You cannot, genuinely, sell anything if you don’t use and enjoy what you are trying to make people buy from you.
Even if you try your hardest, you might make a few sales but, people will feel your energy from miles away.
To find out if you really like and enjoy this particular product, ask yourself “would I buy it even if I don’t make money from it”. If you are honest with yourself and that the answer is “Yes” then you are in the right place.
Network Marketing – #2 Company history and status
Something to be very vigilant about is to know what company you are putting your name behind, and also be sure that they are in the game for the long run and stable.
In my personal experience, I would recommend not to get involved with a brand new company that is less than, at the very least, 5 years in business and showing progressive growth. The reason being is that, statistically, 90% of companies tend to shut down within their first 5 years and lots of people are left with nothing.
If you are attracted by such a young company then make sure not to invest to much money in it and keep watching.
Additionally you can check this points too:
- Do they have a Lawsuit attached to them
- Have they change board directors too often
- Are they a member of the Better Business Bureau or other business organisation. Most popular in Network Marketing is https://www.DSA.org
Network Marketing – #3 Compensation plan
There are many different types of compensation plan and, although, there is no right or wrong about which you prefer, it is very important to know what’s around in order to find what suits you best.
For example, in the first company I aligned myself with had a compensation plan which is known as “Breakaway” compensation plan, which was extremely difficult to maintain and on top had an end of month. The latter means that if you don’t achieve a certain amount of volume on the last day of the month you lose all you cumulated which I find very unfair if you brought volume through sales that the company benefit from anyway.
So of course, when moving over to the second Network Marketing company I represent I made sure to be aligned with a compensation plan that suits me and does not create stress in my life.
Network Marketing – #4 Training and support
This is very important to know that the training and support are company wide and not just coming from your upline/sponsor only.
Most companies have a training system in place to keep you going, growing and involved with the latest news, launches etc. Be aware of what system your company has in place for you to promote their products.
However, I would also recommend to learn from other source than your company alone especially if it is not in alignment with the way you want to promote their products that you like. Plus, it is great to know what is happening elsewhere and adapt yourself to the market and/or bring extra resources to your team as the leader you become. Even if you are a team of one!
Network Marketing – #5 Community
It is very well known that “you are the average of the people you hang out with”. So make sure that you feel good around the community you are joining and that they make you and your team feel good.
What is great to look at is, do the leaders make themselves available and approachable or do you find yourself slightly detach from them. You want to make sure that you can go up to any leaders that you see on stage knowing they will make you feel great and not snob you in any way.
Network Marketing – Conclusion
Make sure to choose wisely and do not join just because of hype. Recall the first thing that made you click with the industry and aligned yourself with a company that shares the same values as yours.
So, the main points to remember in the choosing of your new or next venture are as follow:
- Product/service you’d enjoy and buy even if not making money from it
- Company history and status
- Compensation plan structure
- Training and support
- Community type
