It is very strange for some people to talk about more than one income stream because it is not the way most of us are programmed to think. I was definitely not raised to think that way.
However, being an entrepreneur it dawned on me that having several sources of income is smart because we never know when one can disappear or not do too well. In fact, employment jobs are not any safer which means that even people who love having a job should have more than one income stream to be on the safe side.
Let’s now look at a few other reasons that multiple income streams are a smart thing to have.
Multiple Income Streams – Be a solution provider
When you have multiple income streams it also means that you have more than one solution to provide your leads with.
For example, let’s say you are talking to someone about your network marketing opportunity because you really want to work with them, but they are happy in the company they are partnered with. It will be challenging to make them say yes to you.
However, if you have an affiliate system or coaching program that allows you to help them build their network marketing business, they are two other avenues you can explore to see if your lead would like to receive your help.
Multiple Income Streams – Cashflow creation
It is normal that a business may take time to start being profitable, and this is another very valid reason for having multiple income streams, so you can be selfsufficient.
Did you know that millionnaires have an average of 7 income streams?
What I learnt is to not put all my eggs in the same basket and that diversity is very important in order to create some safety net in your household income. Especially, if you are earning your life through your entrepreneurship ventures only.
Multiple Income Streams – More “YESs”
This is exactly how I operate and, believe me, since equipping myself with more solutions to offer I have been turning some “NOs” into “YESs” quite a few times…
Referring back to being a solutions provider, when your leads says “NO” you can always attempt to offer one of your other offers.
It’s like having back ups, and the more back ups the more chances you are to have a suitable product for your lead to say “YES” to.
Multiple Income Streams – Conclusion
It is not only smart because you can provide further option to your audience, but it also is necessary to make sure you can sustain yourself on the road to your ultimate goal.
