Morning Routine – It is up to you

Many people tend to focus on what is out of their control, and base their life experience, feelings and thoughts on those.

But what if, we take a moment to reassess and make sure to be choosing empowering action we can control ourselves.

This is exactly what you are going to get from this episode. 3 essential elements that are going to make your life much more pleasant and with better control.

Morning Routine – Meditation

If anything I feel that meditating makes me so much more relax and be in better alignment to start my day.

Often people ask me “how do you meditate?”. It really does not have to be complicated at all. All you need to do is connect with your self and let the magic do its thing.

Her are my very simple guiding steps for you to start meditating:

  • Sit in a comfortable place with your back OFF the wall or the chair
  • Put both feet flat on the floor unless you prefer sitting in a lotus position
  • Close your eyes
  • Breath in and out from your nostrils using your natural breathing
  • Do not try to empty your head (as there is no such thing) but refocus on your breathing coming in and out of your nostrils when catching yourself being in your thoughts

The other very common question I get is “how long should I meditate for?”. This really depend on you. I ideally love meditating 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening. Does it always happen like this, not at all. But I definitely do a minimum of 20-30 minutes every morning.

However, if you never meditated before, you can also do what I used to do when started which is doing 2-3 minutes and increase by 1 or 2 minutes each day. Whatever works for you.

The importance is not the time but the regular daily practice rather.

Morning Routine – Gratitude journaling

Expressing gratitude can, and usually does, help you feel better and more self-confident because your mindset is focused on appreciation and being thankful.

This is one of the reasons I do journal my gratitudes every morning after having finished meditating. Now that you are relaxed, your mind is so much more open to receive and express all that you are grateful for.

Morning Routine – Personal Development

You probably heard the saying “what doesn’t grow dies”. It is the same for the mind. Therefore, consciously growing your mind will make sure to put your focus on something productive, and constructive,, helping you start the day with better thoughts.

Some examples of what can be used for personal development: Books, Youtube video, Podcast, Webinars, Audio books, recorded trainings…
