Personal Branding is the smartest thing that ones can do for him/herself. Whether you are a freelancer doing tutorial videos, an affiliate, an entrepreneur or a network marketer you want to build your brand and not someone else’s.

Because if anything happen, like you change the career, company or product you are representing then your audience will not necessarily follow you. Whereas if you brand yourself first you can take your audience with you anywhere you decide to go.

Now you might be thinking that this is great but wondering how to brand yourself and how to even build your brand. And this are all fair questions that I asked myself too.

Personal Branding – What is Personal Branding?

This is the way you can make people remember you for who you are, what you stand for and the image you project of you to the mass.

As many people I used to showcase the product of the company I am represent and be the friend that people didn’t want to have around anymore so I would not talk about my product, service or opportunity. Been there, done that, didn’t work and actually felt uncomfortable at times.

The plus point to be your own brand is that you can create some courses, trainings or else that people

If that’s you then you can be assured that there is hope because after all those years thinking that they might be a better and more authentic way to offer what I’ve got while providing people with value no matter their decision. And this is called Personal Branding!

Funny enough I came across this concept at the start of my career, dip my toe in and left the possibilities because of what others were saying and thinking of this strategy. Today I am here to tell you that it works and that it will create you more result faster and with less stress from the comfort of your home!

Let’s now dive in the 4 key elements to start branding yourself…

Personal Branding – Know Your Audience

Before anything at all you want to know who it is that you want to serve and build your community with. Once you know who it is that you want to attract then you are ready to build your tribe.

You might have heard, like me, that your audience is everyone that has a pulse or everyone that has skin and hair. To an extend it is true but out of all the people you approach how many of these “pulses” and “skin & hair” didn’t managed to build long lasting profitable relationship with. I have learnt the hard way and now here to tell you that there is no such thing as “everyone is your client or business partner”. Potential? SURE! But even the big ones like AMAZON and FB don’t have EVERYONE in their circle. Hint Hint

The question you want to asked yourself to help you find your perfect audience are the following:

  • How old is my audience?
  • What economic class are they part of?
  • Where do they live?
  • What leisure activities do they like?
  • Are they men,women, both or else?
  • What do they read?
  • Where can I find them? (events, seminars…)

These questions are only examples among many that you could ask yourself. This could actually be an entire training in itself.

What I realised when going through this process myself is that step by step I was recognising myself in this ideal audience creation. From this you can even create an “avatar” type of client or business partner and name it so you always remember who you are looking to associate yourself with.

Personal Branding – Provide Value To Your Audience

Providing value is what will get you far in the game of entrepreneurship and in fact in all areas of life. If we think about it for a second… Why do we remain friends with some and not others? Because the one that you keep provide you with value. And I’m not talking about material value but genuine love, attention and support when needed.

Well, it is exactly the same with your audience. If they don’t get value from you they will leave and this is the hard core truth that needs to be faced I’m afraid. As much as your product or service might be awesome and the best in the world people love connection and build rapport first. In fact if you are still here up until now it is probably because you are getting value. I hope 🙂

“You are either in the chasing game or in the friending game”

The great part is that after identifying your perfect audience, knowing who they are and what they want then you can create unlimited relevant and valuable content that will make them follow you everywhere! From that point you are starting to create an authority that people are looking up to.

Isn’t that AWESOME??

Personal Branding – Be Transparent

Know, Like and Trust. This what you want people to feel about you and make sure that they feel who you really are and what you want to help them with. If you are fishy, playing weird and not being your authentic self people will feel it from miles away and they will leave.

In contrary if you are your real you and that you are in alignment with your core value and beliefs then you will no matter what attract your tribe and create an avalanche of people that will love you and want to hear from you all the time. Can you imagine the feeling of knowing that people are there literally waiting for each content that you are going to come out with? Don’t know about your but that thought makes my mind EXPLODE with EXCITEMENT!!!

One of the benefits of branding is that you can be your true self without caring about what people think of you or the way you do come across because the right people will DEFINITELY be drawn to you naturally and very quickly.

Personal Branding – Create Curiosity

Something else that I have learnt the hard way is to create curiosity within your audience. As human beings we love being noisy and find out what we don’t know. So don’t plater all over your social media the product and service that you are selling because then there is nothing left for them to be curious about.

Especially if you are in the Network Marketing industry people will go do their own research on what you posted without you knowing and we all know that if they fall on a bad rap on the internet then that’s it you will never hear from them about your product or service.

And the worse part is that you won’t even know that they did some “research” about your product or service in the first place! Which means that you have no control over any type of follow up whatsoever. And you know “The fortune is in the follow up”, Right?

By being curious I don’t mean that you cannot talk about what you sell or offer but there is a better way to do it so your people feel that they are getting value and THEY ask you for more info by themselves.

The basic way to do that is to not mention or show the name of your product and/or company. Talk about the benefit of what you want to show case without being weird and specially without specifying the name of your product or company.

Personal Branding – In Conclusion

To build your brand you need to keep in mind that YOU are the brand and that your audience wants to connect with you initially and not your product or your service. To do so you just have to implement the points we discussed above which are the following:

  • Get To Know Your Audience
  • Provide Them With Value
  • Be Transparent
  • Create Curiosity

If you use this strategy you will be ahead of the curve, moving faster in your business than ever before and create results that are beyond your expectation with less stress so you can enjoy life to its fullest.
