Did you know that studies show that setting goals will give you more guarantee to reach them than if you don’t?
Yet, there are many different ways to set goals which my favorite is the SMART way. This technique has really helped me create realistic, sustainable, and achievable goals.
In this Episode 87, I am sharing with you 3 tips to support you in your goal setting, so you put more chances to achieve them on your side.

Goal Setting – Proven to be true
A Harvard Business Study found that the 3% of graduates from their MBA who had their goals written down, ended up earning ten times as much as the other 97% put together, just ten years after graduation.
So many other studies have been done around this topic, but the main point to take from goal setting is to put a system in place that allows you to laser focus on what you want to create and attract.
Goal Setting – Be Specific
Having clarity in what you want to attract or create is crucial as it is what will make you know where you are going.
By being crystal clear about your goals you will also attract the right people, as people follow other’s who know where they are going.
As an example, instead of saying “I want to make more money” it is best to say I am committed to earning an ‘x’ amount of money by ‘y’ date”.
If you have a weight loss goal, it is best to say “I am committed to being x amount of kilos lighter” vs “I want to lose weight” which would be too vague.
Goal Setting – Gratitude
It does seem so minor, but being and feeling grateful for what we currently have is a huge part in attracting more of what we want.
Might sound woohoo to you, and it once sounded woohoo to me too…
Having practiced this law for quite some years, I attracted and created so many things that truly were the fruition of my thinking which converted into tangible outcomes
One way to practice gratitude is to take time for yourself and journal what you are thankful for. I tend to do it in the morning after my meditation, as it also put me in a great starting point for the day unfolding ahead.
Goal Setting – Accountability
If anything, this aspect is extremely efficient to put you to work and make sure that you are doing what you set yourself to do, long after the feeling of wanting to do it has gone.
Having an accountability partner will make sure that you are keeping yourself and your goals on track.
Also, interestingly enough, your accountability partner does not have to be aware that they are your making yourself accountable to them.
For example, I set myself to release a Blog every single Monday, and to turn up on my business page each and every single Thursday at 8pm.
Now, if my blog doesn’t show or if I don’t turn up on Thursday at 8pm, my audience contacts me wondering if all is okay because they are expecting me.
Goal Setting – Conclusion
No matter what strategy you decide to use to set your goals, make sure to have them on paper and at reach at all times, so you can be reminded and facing them for a constant reminder.
