Facebook Profile – 4 Effective tips to turn your profile into a lead-generating machine
Would you agree that your profile is the first impression people will have of you online when checking you up?
Therefore it must be appealing and interesting to look at.
Being interesting does not mean to be flooding the products and the company’s name you represent all over. In fact, it is the complete opposite that will make a huge positive difference.
In this Episode 96, I am sharing with you 5 effective tips to turn your profile into a lead-generating machine so much, that people will want to ask you for more information about what you do and sell.

Facebook Profile – You Online Real Estate
Facebook profiles are very often neglected and underestimated in terms of the conversion they can provide, and how much of a lead magnet it can be.
You profile is pretty much your first point of contact online, so it must put you and your business in the best light possible.
Facebook Profile – Profile picture
This is the very first thing people see of you when coming on your profile, so make sure it is a welcoming picture of you.
What is also best to do is to have a picture of you only, not your pet, not your friend, not the logo of your company, but you only. When coming on your profile people want to connect with your nothing, or nobody else.
Also, it is a good thing to change your profile picture from time to time as many people see that change and engage on it somehow.
Facebook Profile – Cover photo
The good news is there is a place for everything. The cover photo is the larger picture behind your profile picture.
This is a great place to express more about your, what you represent, what you stand for, who you are, what you like…
As you probably guessed, here you can add your pet, your family, a landscape, your friends, a quote, etc. The only thing that is not recommended is to show the name/logo of the company and products you represent.
PRO TIP: Since most people pay attention and interact on profile and cover photo changes, it is a brilliant time to write a caption with it as it will appear as a new post too. Why not include a Call-To-Action even… 😉
Facebook Profile – The intro section
Here is a great place to share your links and a little more about yourself too. Or more precisely who you serve really.
Definitely not a place to share your entire resume, which might not even be relevant to what you are now doing (except your replicated website link of course). Very simply put, share the links that matter most to your audience and that you want them to go to.
In the workplace section put your Facebook page if you have one or a link to your website, rather than the job you are at and want to get out of. Be creative and intentional on what it is you are including on your Facebook Profile.
Personal branding episode 93
Facebook Profile – Text under your profile picture
This is a powerful piece of real estate so make sure you communicate an engaging message that will speak directly to your ideal audience. Make it fun and interesting to let visitors get a feel for who you are and what you stand for.
Add a URL! You can add a clickable URL link here. But never, ever use a replicated corporate website. Make sure it is either a personally branded website that represents who you are and who you serve OR a lead capture page, where you are giving away valuable information that your ideal audience would love in exchange for an email address!
Facebook Profile – Conclusion
Essentially, always remember these two words “Personal Branding”.
There you have it! Just 4 key pieces of real estate that most marketers are not utilizing to their fullest!
