Customer Retention Strategy: Mistake to avoid
A lot of people (me included in the past) make the mistake to think that acquiring a customer is all they need to do.
Whereas keeping the customer is what will make you thrive even more, and also create credibility on your name and business.
In fact, I tend to call my customers “Clients” because there is a sense of personal service with attention to details when talking to a client.
Customer Retention Strategy #1: Check on them regularly
Keeping customer is not only having the sales coming in, but also and most importantly being genuinely interested in them. #BeInterestedNotInteresting
People follow those who really care. You could take them on a journey when they start with your products, to make sure they have the best experience, and every other week give them a nudge to say hello.
Customer Retention Strategy #2: Make them feel welcome
Plug them into the community ASAP so they feel part of something bigger than themselves.
If you don’t already have a community to plug them into, then create one where you can share some valuable relevant content, and social proof of other’s results.
Customer Retention Strategy #3: Build their beliefs
People love knowing that what they get from you is working. Essentially they are not buying a shake from you, but a weight loss they want to drop. They are not buying an anti-ageing cream but less wrinkles.
You’ve got to talk about your product in benefit rather than features. The great way to add more credibility to what you are offering is by Sharing testimonials and successes stories with them.
Customer Retention Strategy #4: Show them more
To make your customers feel even more inside your community, and if they are interested in getting more knowledge about your products, get them to a company event.
This way, you will have fun with them there, they will get blown away by the event unfolding in front of them and, who knows, they might just want to sign up with you there and then.
Customer Retention Strategy #5: Make them feel and see it for themselves
The most important of all, so they really get passionate about using your products, is to get them a results as fast as possible.
When they start having results thanks to something they use, the chances are they are going to continue with it and, more than this, they will want to recommend it as well as refer people to you.

Keeping your customers is nothing more complicated than nurturing the relationship that has already started.
It is easier to keep a customer than acquire them, if you do it the right way.
