Content Batching – Tips to create more while being less on task

I used to wonder how successful leaders out there, could be everywhere at the same time, yet saying they are not overworking themselves.
It was very frustrating at times because I really wanted to make it happen, but was exhausting myself in the process, whereas others were able to do it.

It was only when I came across some personal branding courses, and learn all about content batching that it clicked immediately, and things have changed since then.

That’s why In this Episode 63, I want to equip you with this strategy that, will save you lots of time, and make you feel more in control as well as create more results.

Content Batching – Make your life easier

The reason this strategy is so powerful, and I cannot stress enough the fact that it has been a game-changer in my business and life, is because it got me to mainly reduce the amount of anxiety towards being present at all times.

Having an online presence is undeniably crucial these days, no matter what you do in life, but it doesn’t have to take over your life.

In fact, a great effective presence online creates more time, and brings you peace of mind!

Content Batching – What is it?

Content batching is when you set aside intentional time to focus on content creation, caption crafting, and digital strategies, allowing you to work smarter, not harder.

Depending on how much content you’re working to create, you might set aside a few hours, a whole day, few days, or even an entire week.

Content Batching – Have a plan of action

Having a plan is essential in everything that you do. Without a plan I cannot execute with attention to details, and full focus intention.

Again, depending on the type of work you do, how much content you intend to create, and how much is involved in the creation of your content, you will have different tasks.

For my social media post planning and creation, I take about 1 hour weekly, typically on Saturday. You may want to check my Social Media Posts Strategy training HERE

However, my blog strategy is way different because it involves much more, therefore I work on 6-8 blogs at the time, and spread the work over a 2 or 3 weeks period. Could it be done quicker? Most likely, but I like to work at my own pace, which is the beauty of being your own boss, and build your personal brand.

Content Batching – Create a tasks map

If you are working on blog creation and have to do manage all of it, from start to finish, then you might want to create a roadmap.
My roadmap has the following:

  • Ideas brainstorm
  • Blog typing
  • Recording
  • Editing
  • Photo making
  • Canva work
  • Mailchimp
  • Aweber list creation
  • Freebies creation
  • Broadcast scheduling

Now you probably understand why I coming up with 6-8 blogs fully ready, reviewed, and ready to be broadcasted can take some time.
Typically speaking, I tend to spread the typing over a few days, the recording over a couple of days, and all the rest within a week.

This way I enjoy the process and don’t feel overwhelmed, or under pressure. Because, again, I choose to be my own boss and build my own brand to run it on my own terms.

For it to be an enjoyable process, I start the work 3 weeks before I run out of blogs going out. It allows me to finish even a week before the last one.

Content Batching – Conclusion

Make it work for you, and assure to prepare your content in advance before running out of any, so you can feel chill about it, and even review it before it goes out on social media platform, or your blog.

Depending of what type of content you want to batch, time needed will differ, and also varied according to your personal way and speed of working.
