Generally speaking people will have the choice to lead with with the product or the opportunity side of their business.

It is really important to know what you are compel to lead with as you want to be the go to person for this specific topic. Essentially, what I mean here is that you want to be clear in your message to avoid confusion in your prospect’s mind.

Let’s take the example of makeup: If you decide to lead with your product or service then you will most likely target an audience who wants that from you, ie. brides, prom makeup girls…

It would be weird talking to these people about joining your team of makeup artists, wouldn’t it?

On the other side you have the business route you can lead with.

Again, taking makeup as an example, if you are talking about makeup business tips, how to become a freelancer, how to grow a team, etc then your audience has to expect that from you, and not you pitching them about makeup lesson booking.

Business Tips – How to do it both?

You now might be wondering how can you actually do both if you are passionate about both sides of your business.

That is a really good question that I, myself, been asking at the start of my own brand.

The answer is actually pretty simple. Choose the one you love leading with the most and want to share post on your timeline more, and then share some glimpse of the rest in your stories.

Make sure to be known for one specific aspect of your business, but feel free to also sprinkle some of your other knowledge into the mix of your stories.
