Business Positioning – My own experience when starting as a non Expert
We all have to start somewhere, right?
Back in 2012, I decided to join my very first Network Marketing company with no previous business experience, whatsoever.
I stumbled very hard and had to grow massively. Yet, this meant also to do very uncomfortable things such as presenting to a crowd or to pull up a PowerPoint presentation during 1-1 meetings, which was always making me feel inauthentic, and like I was a fraud.
But again, I knew that I had to do something different in order to obtain different results in my life. In 2016 and decided to move away from the home party, and coffee meeting plan, to find something that works best for me and my lifestyle.
Business Positioning – It is painful and doesn’t feel like me
While in my second venture I also came across something that has revolutionised my entire life, being business and personal, and this is called PERSONAL BRANDING!
I immediately clicked with this concept and thought, this is what I was looking for during all these years.
Some of the strategies I learnt were to be a valuable content creator and provider, which that also involved making videos as well as go Live on camera.
My very first video, that I still have, is extremely painful to watch.
Literally, I was so red, not very well articulated, and just not good to be honest! Then going Live talking about marketing was also very strange, and feeling as if I was fake because I never went to University to learn Marketing, in fact, I never went to University, full stop!
However, I knew that I had no other choice but to keep going in other to make my vision come to reality.
Business Positioning – Here is the trick to overcome the imposter syndrome
Actually, there is no trick!
You surely didn’t expect that one, but it is the complete truth my friend!
So, what is required to do in order to remove the imposter syndrome and make you feel like you are an Expert?
The answer is to learn your topic and practice it over and over and over again while being in front of your audience.
Showing up in front of the camera and doing what you are supposed to do will build the confidence muscle within you, to the point of making you unshakable!
Business Positioning – Conclusion
You are only human, and stumbling is absolutely normal and natural. Don’t be afraid to make mistake, just fall forward by learning from your mistakes to get better each time.
