Business Management – How to run your business with 1 hour per day
Do you want to build a business but can’t see how to possibly fit it in within your, already, very busy lifestyle?
I started my business venture back in 2011/2012, and believe me I had no time to spare. So I thought. I was studying along with a full time job, which was already a lot as you can imagine.
Yet, I knew I had to do it. However, I’m not gonna lie saying that it was very chaotic, and messy at first, but finally found a way to make it work.
In this Episode 52, I am sharing how you can build a profitable business in only one hour per day, around any type of schedule and lifestyle.

Business Management – How
Time is one of those things which we all have the same amount of, no matter where we live, how we live, what we do in life, or who we are.
So why is that some people have gazillion things to do and can always add some more, whereas some others or overwhelmed with one job and a child?
Since I was the latter, without the child, which makes it even worse that I couldn’t fit everything in one day, then I had to figure out a way to make things work for me.
Let’s dive into the 4 most important money making activities of your business, that you can fit in only 1 hour throughout the day.
Business Management – Prospecting
Making sure that new eyeballs are on your business and product daily is your duty. But to make this step possible you first need to find the people who are interested in taking a look.
To do so, I would focus 15 minutes of this one hour connecting with new people, or people from your list.
Here are some areas where you can find people to talk to:
- Groups of your interests
- Pages of your interests
- Birthdays
- List of friends
Business Management – Inviting
Depending on where your conversations are at, which would be best to keep track of, you will surely have some people that you can ask if they are open to take a look at what you have going on.
Don’t be shy about asking, as it is just you offering a solution to what they need.
Again, I would spend 15 minutes, at some point during the day, asking at least 5 people to take a look and move on.
Business Management – Presenting
Now, you might wonder how possible it is to present in such short time, especially if you are a complete novice, or not feeling comfortable about presenting at all.
You have some options:
- Learning the basic of your presentation to be only 15 minutes, without question time included
- Book all your prospects to present to on the same virtual presentation at once (Skype, Zoom…)
- Send a pre-recorded video to your prospects, to watch in their own time
Here are some of the advantages of the above:
- No pressure felt on the prospect side since they go away to think about it
- Virtual presentation with more than one person has an element of social proof, showing you are active and serious, and that more people are interested in taking a look
- Sending a pre-recorded video, or plugging your prospects into a group where they can check the info by themselves, again removes any pressure, and also creates lots of leverage for you since you can be working, or do whatever else, while they are taking in the information from that resource
Business Management – Following up
Ideally, it is best if you can set the follow up appointment before they get access to any information, so you know exactly when to follow up. However I find that it is not always necessary though.
Sometimes, I would say something like:
“Awesome, I just tagged you in the relevant places within my group(s) for you to check the info. I will follow up with you in a couple days or so, if you don’t contact me first, to see if you have any question, and if you see an opportunity with us”
You could then schedule 15 minutes follow up times during each day, when you reach out to all the people you said you’d follow up with.
Now, you might ask, how is it possible to follow up with many people in on 15 minutes?
I use messenger text, and vocal note, and ask them follow up questions. You don’t have to both be on a call or over a coffee to follow up. Using messenger is awesome, because each of you can have time to answer in your own time, and for you it allows you to reach out to more people than you could if meeting in person, or setting a phone call with each of them.
Online Marketing – Conclusion
Schedule your diary with junks of 15 minutes each for Prospecting, Inviting, Presenting, and Following up. This makes it a total of 1 hour per day of focus time to build your business.
We are living in a very fast pace type of lifestyle, where people love having control over their time. So using written messages, and vocal notes, in messenger will give you a lot of leverage and make both you, and your prospect, feel in control of the process.
