Looks like we are all the same and that it can happen to everybody. What does make the difference between a productive day and a day of regret is how you set up your day.

In this Episode 7 I want to share with you the best routine that works for me, my mind and my business productivity.

Morning Routine – Benefits

What is great and almost magical in having a set morning routine is that you are setting yourself for extra success and direction.

When I don’t follow what I am about to share with you or just apply a few things and not the others then my mind and body are not in perfect alignment, I am more easily irritable and I am definitely not as productive.

On the other side, having the day planned and ready ahead, position me in a much powerful mindset which then reflects in the conversations, situations as well as activities I am meant to be involved in throughout the day.

Morning Routine – How To Get Into A Routine

There are many different ways to go about it but in this Episode of Thierry V Alexandre I am just going to share with you what works for me.

Personally, I find that starting my day the night before is very efficient for a few reason which will be explain in the next section. Here’s how you can get into a routine.

  1. Prepare your next day the night prior (just before bed) by writing it down into your diary
  2. Set your alarm and put it away from you. Mine is in the living room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off
  3. Don’t be too harsh on yourself and incorporate elements as you go along. Especially if you haven’t got a routine that is well structured.

Morning Routine – Why Follow The Above Steps?

Having structures is what make people create more success in their life. So if you are wanting to create more, feel less stress and be happier then structure is key.

Here are the key reasons why I recommended the above 3 steps which I apply in my own routine too:

  1. Preparing my next day just before bed gets my mind ready for what is being set for the next morning
  2. It removes the stress of having the task of preparing the day in the morning.
  3. It saves sometime for the next day which I can then put into productivity immediately
  4. During sleeping time the mind is thinking of what was done just minutes prior going to sleep and therefore already being productive ahead of time

Whatever we do before bed impacts our sleep, whether positively or negatively, so having a routine of planning our next day and think of our morning routine will be much more empowering.

Morning Routine – What Does Include My Routine

To make the day very empowering there are some aspect which are non negotiable and these are the following:

  • Herbal drink to get my body started
  • Matcha green tea to keep me awake. It’s also been said that it helps focus more within meditation time which I tend to agree
  • Meditation
  • Visualisation
  • Stretching
  • Affirmation
  • Breakfast
  • Shower
  • Personal Development
  • Learning something new

The entire process takes me about 3 to 3 1/2 hours depending if I do 30 or 60 minutes meditation.

Now, Don’t let this scare you because it does not have to take you so long to do all this even before going to any job. I used to do it and it worked perfectly fine. The main important thing to do is to tailor the timings to your own situation

What you want to tell yourself is that, this is your “ME” time and that no-one should disturb it! Wouldn’t you agree that you are already giving lots of your attention to others. Great to give but you cannot give goodness to others if you don’t provide it to yourself first.
